“Fab Weekend Escape!”
I booked Lanna for a sleek luxury getaway and I was not disappointed. Within moments of arriving I felt calm, peaceful and relaxed - I am a big fan of clean white surfaces and was over joyed with the room amenities - the bathroom was modern and luxurious with a decent sized rainwater shower while clever design features accented our living space; for instance I was able to enjoy a huge mirror overlooking the bed from the bedroom - this wall feature also acted as a lookout window into the room from the bathroom. Top marks for bed linen, pillows and lighting. We loved the gorgeous buffet breakfast with my favourite Bonne Maman jams - it's the small details like this that sets Lanna apart from the other island getaways. Then there was the huge aqua pool - an oasis of calm lined with slightly submerged loungers accross one edge of the pool - for those wanting spa style bathing you could turn on the water jets and bubble blissfully away. One of the perks of this hotel was the easy access to the airport - great for business trips or short breaks. I could go on and on about the plus points but you should check it out for yourself and the staff were more than happy to drive us into Chaweng for a night on the tiles......even waking up the next day slightly worse for it we could nurse our hangovers by the pool sipping on complimentary pineapple and watermelon shakes, I mean where else can you get this kind of service!
“Best Kept Secret”
We spent 3 days at this fantastic resort. Service and amenities were fabulous and the setting is beautiful. Big comfortable beds, stunning stylish bathrooms and modern facilities put this hotel in the same category as some of the best in Samui. Breakfast was great and there was always a table and sunbed available, unlike so many of the other tourist-ridden resorts around the Island. The cocktails were superb, and the food delicious and the warmth of the staff was endearing.
I will definitely be back... I didn't want to leave!
“Superb, We don't want to leave.”
We are presently staying at this resort, it is fantastic, arrived on Feb 7 and unfortunately we have to leave on March 1. Lanna is a crisp, clean, refreshing welcoming oasis after a day of touring the island or spending a day at one of the beautiful conveniently located beaches. For a day off from the beach, there is nothing better than lounging by the pool followed by a massage in the spa and dinner in the restaurant. The facilities and service are excellent from the restaurant and lounge, to the fully equipped gym, the spa, the sauna room, the Turkish bath and of the course the gorgeous pool and deck. Accommodations are first class and spotless as you would expect of a resort of this caliber. Of course a resort can not be first class in my opinion unless it has the right people, this one has it, the staff are great, warm and welcoming, friendly and helpful, we cannot say enough about the staff, they do make the difference. Congratulations and well done to the staff and management of this resort to make our stay most memorable. We know where we will be staying on our return trip to Koh Samui.
